That there have been advances made in dermatology, and that these are recent, seems admitted iffy their considera tion being offered as a subject for a thesis. This thesis is, however, limited to the recent advances in the pathology and treatment of cutaneous affections. We may therefore omit all reference to the classification of diseases of the skin.
