Anyone who imagines that Shakespeare's Stratford is Warwickshire's only attraction will be surprised and delighted by the treasure-trove of interesting places unearthed by Dennis Kelsall for "Discovery Walks in Warwickshire". The 15 walks range from 2 to 10 miles, and have been devised to suit the entire family. The routes are generally passable with ease and can be tackled by walkers of all abilities. Wherever possible, Dennis has directed walkers to footpaths, bridlepaths and towpaths so their walks should be peaceful and safe. The pace is deliberately leisurely - allowing time to enjoy the informative commentary and explore the surroundings. This book aims to illustrate the diversity which Warwickshire has to offer, exploring many of the lesser-known attractions of the county and encouraging walkers to discover more for themselves. There are walks across the county's highest hills, through secluded woods and by peaceful canals and rivers. In between are visits to picturesque villages, ancient churches and impressive country houses.

Dennis Kelsall is a keen walker and photographer with a love of the countryside. This is his second book of walks.
