Discovering Your Calling: Walking Boldly in God’s Purpose for Your Life

Have you ever wondered why you’re here or if God truly has a specific purpose for your life? Deep within each of us is a longing to live with meaning—to know that we are walking in step with the One who created us. Discovering Your Calling is a guided journey to uncover how God designed you on purpose, for His purpose.

This six-part study walks you through a transformational process of discovery and action. It is designed with scripture-based teaching, personal reflection passages, and soul-searching evaluation questions that will awaken your heart to God’s unique call on your life.

Part One: Created on Purpose
You are no accident. Long before your first breath, God envisioned you—a masterpiece crafted with intentionality. The Bible declares in Ephesians 2:10 that we are His workmanship, created for good works that God prepared in advance. This section lays the foundation of God’s design for you, breaking down the lie of insignificance and replacing it with the truth of divine purpose.

Part Two: Rooted in Identity
Before you discover your calling, you must know who you are—and whose you are. Your identity is not in your role, your title, or your past, but in Christ alone. This section leads you to anchor your heart in your God-given identity as His beloved child, chosen, called, and empowered. Secure roots produce healthy fruit, and this truth sets the stage for everything that follows.

Part Three: Discerning Your Gifts
God doesn’t call you without equipping you. He has deposited spiritual gifts, talents, passions, and natural abilities inside you. Here, you’ll explore the biblical foundation of spiritual gifts, examine your unique wiring, and begin to see how God often uses what’s already in your hands for His glory. Through guided questions, you’ll gain clarity on your strengths and how they align with His calling.

Part Four: Listening for God’s Leading
God is still speaking. The challenge is often slowing down enough to hear Him. This section teaches you how to tune your heart to God’s voice through His Word, prayer, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. You’ll reflect on biblical examples of divine guidance and be encouraged to develop a lifestyle of listening, discerning His direction in both big and small moments of life.

Part Five: Courage to Step Forward
Every calling requires a step of faith—and courage to move beyond fear, doubt, or comparison. Like Joshua standing on the edge of the promised land, you are invited to trust God’s presence and promises as you step forward. This section helps you confront the fears that hold you back and equips you with biblical truth and practical steps to walk in bold obedience.

Part Six: Called to Serve
Your calling is never just about you. God calls you to make a difference—to love, serve, and impact others for His kingdom. Whether in ministry, business, community, or family, your calling finds its greatest expression in service. This section challenges you to see every opportunity as sacred and to live a life poured out in love and purpose.

At every step, Discovering Your Calling invites you deeper—into scripture, reflection, and personal evaluation. You won’t just read about purpose; you’ll engage with the heart of God for your life. Whether you are seeking clarity, feeling stuck, or standing at a crossroads, this study will equip you to listen for His voice, identify His leading, and courageously walk in the calling you were always meant to fulfill.

You were created on purpose. You are called with purpose. And the time to walk in it… is now.
