�Digital Culture & Society� is a refereed, international journal, fostering discussion about the ways in which digital technologies, platforms and applications reconfigure daily lives and practices. It offers a forum for critical analysis and inquiries into digital media theory and provides a publication environment for interdisciplinary research approaches, contemporary theory developments and methodological innovation.

This issue, edited by Anna Lisa Ramella, Asko Lehmuskallio, Tristan Thielmann and Pablo Abend, discusses the mobility of people, data and devices from the perspective of digital mobile practices. As the authors of various empirical case studies show, these need to be studied both situationally, and on the move.

With contributions by Marion Schulze, Jamie Coates, Geoffrey Hobbis, Samuel Gerald Collins, among others, and an interview with Heather Horst, David Morley, and Noel B. Salazar.

Ram�n Reichert, Dr., ist Senior Researcher am Department f�r Kulturwissenschaft, Universit�t f�r Angewandte Kunst in Wien. Annika Richterich (Dr.) is an assistant professor in Digital Culture at Maastricht University (Netherlands). Pablo Abend (Dr.) ist wissenschaftlicher Koordinator des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs �Locating Media� an der Universit�t Siegen. Seit April 2019 vertritt er die Professur f�r Designtheorie an der Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle (Saale). Mathias Fuchs (Dr.) ist ein K�nstler und Medienwissenschaftler. Er war u.a. Senior Lecturer an der University of Salford in Greater Manchester, Vertretungsprofessor an der Universit�t Potsdam und Senior Fellow am Institute of Advanced Study on Media Cultures of Computer Simulation (MECS). Fuchs arbeitet am Institut f�r Kultur und �sthetik Digitaler Medien an der Leuphana-Universit�t L�neburg. Fuchs hat im Feld der k�nstlerischen Auseinandersetzung mit Computerspielen und deren Theorie Pionierarbeit geleistet und leitet ein DFG-gef�rdertes Projekt zu Gamification (2018-2021). Karin Wenz (Dr.) is an assistant professor of Media Culture at Maastricht University, Netherlands, and director of studies of the MA Media Culture.
