Overlaid spine labels with title (faded away) and volume number. Leather covers have some scuffing, corners rubbed, spine tips bit pulled, especially Vol. I. Interiors have some moderate foxing, owner name on title page in black flourished ink, otherwise clean and unmarked. Published anonymously, but Feraud, a French Jesuit grammarian was responsible. "We owe to him the Dictionnaire grammatical de la langue française , Avignon, 1761, of which he gave a considerably enlarged fourth edition in Paris in 1786 (2 vol. In-8 °).
