Death and the Insatiable. Dieser Artikel ist nicht verfügbar.Death and the Insatiable

In this unique debut collection, Mark A. Hill explores the struggle between the imaginary and the real, death and the insatiable. Death is an omnipresent shadow that hangs over the text; it inhabits several of these poems, breathing, waiting to extinguish any sense of the insatiable that we experience daily. The insatiable is the will to live, the will to learn or write, the will to love, all that hullabaloo, which we inevitably sift through in the key moments, as we try to bumble not so gently toward the inevitable. Hill's mind takes some seismic leaps through language from the modern to the classical, from the colloquial to the academic. This collection is a meticulous act of love. Lines have been placed on paper in careful rows with rhythm and rhyme, creating a series of odes to things that have happened or people that have appeared or disappeared. Approach these poems with an open mind. You are unlikely to be disappointed, unlike several of the characters you will encounter within these pages.
