Daysi Silvas wrote Daisy's Wave as a dedication to her sister, Wendy, and in loving memory of their father. Daysi graduated from the University of La Verne on a full scholarship and uses her own life journey, which included time in foster care from the age of seven to twenty-one, to inspire her writing. Daisy is passionate about reminding children of their worth.
