What if the key to becoming a stronger leader, a better servant, a more present spouse, parent, mentor, or friend began with a single question?
Is your cup filled?
Every day, people pour themselves into their responsibilities, relationships, careers, ministries, and communities. They give their time, energy, wisdom, and attention to others. Yet many never stop to ask whether they are operating from a place of strength-or from a place of depletion.
In Is Your Cup Filled?, firefighter, military chaplain, educator, and leadership developer Elliott J. Dix offers a practical and faith-centered framework for evaluating your personal capacity, renewing your purpose, and living with greater intentionality. Drawing from decades of service, leadership experience, ministry, education, and personal reflection, Dix explores what it means to become a better steward of the life, influence, and opportunities God has entrusted to you.
Built around six powerful principles-The Cup, The Drain, The Leak, The Fill, The Spill, and The System-this book provides practical tools to help readers:
- Increase their leadership capacity and effectiveness
- Recognize the habits, distractions, and relationships that drain energy
- Repair the hidden leaks that undermine growth and purpose
- Develop healthy rhythms of renewal and personal development
- Create systems that support long-term success and sustainability
- Build a positive legacy through intentional living and service
Whether you serve as a first responder, military member, pastor, chaplain, coach, educator, business leader, entrepreneur, student, or volunteer, the lessons in this book offer practical wisdom that can be applied immediately.
Filled with personal stories, leadership insights, faith-based encouragement, and actionable principles, Is Your Cup Filled? challenges readers to move beyond survival mode and begin living with greater clarity, purpose, and impact.
Because the condition of your cup affects every area of your life.
What fills your cup today will eventually spill into your family, your work, your relationships, your community, and your future.
The question is not whether your life is overflowing.
The question is: What is it overflowing with?
