CHAPTER 1
Embrace Him
Breaking Crowns
Crowns thrown down at the feet of the king is one thing
But there will be others who refuse to bow-
Until that option is taken away
There will come a day
When none will stand
But all will fall
And worship the King of Kings
There is none but one who shall stand-
And receive all praise
For he alone is worthy
He alone is just
He alone is wonderful and mighty
Also willing to save
All crowns shall be either cast aside
Or crushed
In honor of the one true king-
Who shall rule for eternity
Above all
Convictions of the Cross
Does the cross convict us to live righteous, do justice-
And to extend salvation
If what was done had been done to us-
Would we have wanted "it" to make a difference
How much more of a lesson do we need?
Is there a greater sacrifice to be offered for the sake of love?
Consider the one who bore our burdens, our sins-
So a relationship can begin anew
And life lived eternally
Consider the cross and the things it produced on our behalf
Should we not also lay down our lives-
(Our selfishness, pride, hidden motives etc.)
For the sake of the one who gave us all things
And by giving he gave all of himself
To death
Between Us 2
Between us
You and I
I will not leave
Please promise me the same
Let your word be your word
Without forgetting
And with no regrets
Dose of Love
Love is what love does
Love causes instead of permitting oversight to become an issue
Love does for the sake of love without forsaking love
Love is what it allows us to do "if" we do it
And by "doing" we show it
Love
Fireside Friendly
Flames of love
Yet flames to destroy
What will last are the things meant to last
And things that endure the tests of time
What fate await-
For those who persevere through the trials of life, by faith
The amount of his glorious wonder-
Cannot be understood in the span of man's imagination
Friend or foe
The wicked leaves never to return
How shall one live?
It is for each to choose
Every Degree
Every degree hidden-
Is a degree mentioned through feelings
Feeling but not seeing
And to what degree is the degree
It's only known when measured
And in measuring the degree is made known
The same is with us
God tests the hearts and minds of men
To see what state we're in
Whether in truth or falsehood pretending
Surely testing will reveal the character of a person
And testing is equivalent to measuring the hearts of men
Future Tense
Speak about love and the need for it
Speak about hope and the help of it
Speak about faith
But more importantly show it
Speak about Christ
So all will come to know Him
Give Us this Day
Give us this day
For today is ours by your grace
Is our sufficiency enough?
Lord you reign over all
Another will not come
The days go by but it is you who make them
We lose nothing
Instead we abound in the abundance of your mercy
Thank you for this day
What we don't deserve you earnestly give us
Without your love we would not be
This day is the salvation of the Lord
Many are set free
A day like no other and we thank you Lord
Life without Me
* Life steals time if it's time without God
* Motivation to move ahead and not look back is the life found in Christ
* Breath takes on a new meaning when it's understood That it comes from the Lord
* Life outside of self is life "in Christ"
* To live is to die, to die is to gain life
* In a life apart from Christ, every breath is but an exhale away into eternal separation
* We lose when we fail to accept Christ and what he accomplished on the cross
* Two sides of a coin Two sides of life
Who gets to choose
You get to choose there is no tossing in this
Unless you refuse to decide
* In him there is sure victory; without, sure defeat
* Our last stand won't stand in the last days...
