Her research and clinical practice areas include crisis intervention and planning, risk assessment, and treating complicated grief and addressing mental health issues of the military and children of fallen law enforcement officers. She is a current representative to the American Counseling Association Governing Council and a former member of the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.

Bradley T Erford, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, is a professor in the school counseling program at Loyola University with primary teaching responsibilities in assessment, research, and lifespan development.
