The Handbook has gone through extensive updates the last few years. The 2021 edition was completely reorganized and rewritten, informing the reader of the latest procedures and technologies utilized in a forensic investigation of a crime. This year’s 2024 edition further updated criminal investigative procedures guiding law enforcement officers through each and every element of a criminal investigation making sure nothing is missed, including: (i) new sections on Ghost Guns and Ghost Gun Kits, (ii) updated forensic checklists; (iii) revised Finger, Palm and Foot Prints procedures; (iv) Firearms identification; (v) Forensic Interviewing and Interrogation; and (vi) Theft and Burglary Investigations.
