During his time as archivist on the programme, he has written many books, most recently 40 Years of Coronation Street and Coronation Street: Keeping the Home Fires Burning. He is also co-author on Betty Driver's autobiography Betty. He is now a script writer for Coronation Street and lives in Manchester.
