�ber die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Muriel Le Roux is senior researcher at the CNRS, at the Institute for Modern and Contemporary History CNRS-�cole normale sup�rieure-Paris 1, (France). Specialist in the history of science, technology and business, she has been responsible for coordinating the scientific programmes of the Comit� pour l’histoire de La Poste for many years.

With a PhD in contemporary history, S�bastien Richez is an historian of the Comit� pour l’histoire de La Poste. He is studying the societal acculturation of the French Post office.

Eug�ne Vaill� the first academic historian of the French Post Office, in the middle of the 20^th century, and the first curator or the French postal museum. I died in 1959.
