Concepts in Biochemistry

The third edition of Concepts in Biochemistry makes the most applied and accessible biochemistry text on the market. Students are more successful with Boyer because it isn't intimidating and it makes clear the relevance of the material to their future careers. He has a PhD from Colorado State and recently spent a sabbatical year at NobelPrize winner Tom Cech's lab at the University of Colorado. He is on the Editorial Board for the journal, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education and has been very active in education affairs for the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
