First edition. Format, octavo, 182mm. Physical description, [8], [1] 2 - 327 [1] blank, 1 - 167 [1] blank. Sig, A1 is a blank. Occasional light water staining. P.61- 65 of the second pagination stained. Otherwise a generally clean copy. The Translator?s Dedication signed Walter Kirkham Blount. ? On Palm - Sunday Even - Song (caption title) begins new pagination on 2B1. The text is complete, however, the plates are lacking, it is not clear whether there should be 6 or 7. Sometime, twentieth century? light brown morocco binding, the spine with four raised bands, the title etc; lettered direct in gilt. New endpapers. Overall, a near very good textually complete copy lacking the plates. There are two ESTC Citations, R41758, with 7 plates, at Oxford University, Bodleian Library only. And R212860 with 8 plates, at 14 locations in the UK. The Wing citation C5648 is used for both copies.
