Barnet: St Joseph's House. (60)pp, final leaf blank. n.d. Not on Copac or OCLC. 3. By What Authority? by F.B. Lord. 24pp, drophead title to p.1 (printed by the Catholic Truth Society). (1903). Oxford only on Copac; OCLC adds four more locations, none in USA. 4. Lord Eddystone's Estate. (By F.B.L.) 44pp, drophead title to p.1 (printed by St Andrew's Press, Barnet). Not on Copac or OCLC, but this title was included in Catholic Tales, edited by F. Spink (1900). Frederick Bayley Lord, 1841-1905, who had been rector of Farmborough, near Bath, converted to Rome in 1877; in his 1905 autobiography, Footprints in My Life, he writes of being drawn to the Church of Rome's 'supernatural unity and spotless purity of doctrine'. He married Caroline Annie Ley in 1845 and the initials on front wrapper are probably for a member of the Ley family. Lord died after a fall from his horse, aged 65.…
