Über diesen Titel

Inhaltsangabe:

Working at the Dome, a sports arena in New York City, during a pre-Olympic skating exhibition, Kelly meets two competitive male skaters whose lives become threatened by a string of mysterious accidents.

From School Library Journal:

Grade 6-9 Two Olympic ice skating hopefuls are threatened and attacked, and the question posed in this lightweight mystery-romance is whether Ken, the chief suspect, is actually an intended victim. The mystery element is well handled, although it takes backstage to the romance aspect (Kelly, the narrator, falls in love with Ken). Kelly's breezy narration approximates in tone and quality a teen's speech. It is full of asides to readers such as ``I have never had a real soul kiss. And I bet you thought New York teenagers were fast.'' The dominant aspect of this novel is its setting, the entertainment complex for which Kelly's mother is chief of security and where Kelly works after school. Described in detail, the Dome stands out as strongly as any of the characters, and Kelly's access to it and to the artists who perform there will fuel teens' fantasies. Cold as Ice may be thin ice, but pre-teens won't care. David Gale, ``School Library Journal''
