The Clown Assembly

By the late 2030s, artificial intelligence has advanced faster than the institutions designed to contain it.

Mavin Prep, a brilliant engineer, pushes AI beyond accepted limits while turning congressional paralysis into public spectacle. What begins as disruption gradually exposes deeper fault lines within the American system.

As job scarcity reshapes economic life and a quieter, more survivalist nationalism takes root, the language of unity begins to fade. Confidence in institutions falter. Cultural assumptions erode.

Caught within this transition are two lovers who envision incompatible futures for the country they share. Their private tensions mirror a broader uncertainty unfolding across the nation.

The Clown Assembly is a near-future fiction novel observing how technology, scarcity, and institutional strain converge to redefine a new American identity.

This isn’t a story about villains.
It’s about people, who believe they are the good guys.
