To every church planter who dared to dream big, step out in faith, and plant a work for the Lord—only to watch it wither in the field...

This book is for you.

To the weary preacher who showed up Sunday after Sunday, even when the crowd thinned out and the offerings dried up—
To the shepherd who gave your heart to the flock, only to be left standing alone—
To the visionary who heard God’s voice, obeyed the call, and still buried the dream—

This book is my prayer for your healing, my testimony for your journey, and my reminder that failure does not make you faithless.

I write not from a distance, but from the dirt. I’ve lived this. I’ve wept in empty sanctuaries and shouted in crowded ones. I’ve seen the Spirit move in mighty ways, and I’ve stood in silence when the Spirit felt far away. I’ve planted 13 churches—some that flourished, some that folded. And through it all, I’ve discovered a hard, holy truth: even after the benediction is spoken over a dying church, God still reigns.

So pull up a chair. Let’s talk like family. Let’s cry, laugh, learn, and grow together. This book is not about shame—it’s about survival. It’s about resurrection. It’s about the God who still calls, still heals, and still uses broken vessels for His glory.

To all the sons and daughters of the soil—this one’s for you.
