The Paschal Triduum is the centerpiece of the Christian year, so it is fitting that a special worship book be created for this sacred time. You now hold such a volume in your hands. World Library Publications announces the publication of Christ Our Light, a complete prayer resource for the Triduum. This is the first book of its kind, created in consultation with liturgists and musicians from across the country. Christ Our Light contains all official liturgies of the great Three Days, as well as prayers for Holy Thursday Night Watch, Morning Watches for Good Friday and Holy Saturday, Stations of the Cross, Tenebrae, Blessing of Easter Foods, and Preparation Rites for the Elect. The Order of Mass and Paschal Vespers for Easter Sunday complete the Triduum liturgies, Praying from a single resource will enable your parishioners to appreciate the unity of the three-day celebration of the Paschal Triduum.Every detail has been considered in the design of Christ Our Light to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Often parish-produced materials are, out of necessity, created quickly by people inexperienced in the formatting of worship aids. Here is a dignified alternative to parish-produced worship folders.Although the readings and prayers for the Triduum rarely change, musical elements vary among parishes and regions. The musical elements of Christ Our Light were chosen carefully to reflect the common Catholic repertoire. A supplement of hymns is found in the back of the book, giving parishes a wide repertoire from which to choose.
