Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Kathleen Davidson is a Speech/Language Pathologist who holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in speech science. For over 40 years, she has worked in schools supporting children with special needs. She has helped children learn to use their communication skills to understand and connect to others. The spark for this story grew from seeing the amazing way children intuitively connect to pets who can help them navigate situations. Kathleen invites you to join her pet "Chow" as he tries to make sense of the complex emotions of friendship, change and trust. Kathleen supports many causes through her volunteer work, including the local food pantry garden, literacy volunteers and town outreach programs. Her love of animals has led her to donate a portion of the proceeds of this book to a local animal shelter. Kathleen was born and raised as a city girl in New York. Years ago, she happily made the move to a small town. She now enjoys living in a lovely, shoreline Connecticut town with her husband and their two, very spoiled, Shih Tzu rescues.
