Cat Ninja trades Metro City for quiet streets, backyard barbecues, and a suspiciously watchful goldfish in the fourth full-color series collection. While Claude adjusts to life in Peaceful Valley and Marcie struggles to fit in, a fishy crime family is building an empire beneath the suburbs. Cat Ninja, Master Hamster, the kids, and robot dog Adonis must expose them before the neighborhood’s peaceful façade evaporates.

When Dad buys a new house outside the city, the kids are less than excited about new neighbors, backyard barbecues, and quiet, tree-lined streets. And they’re not alone—a summer in the suburbs is enough to make Cat Ninja miss the villains of Metro City! Our hero and his family feel like fish out of water when they arrive in Peaceful Valley, but it won’t be long before Dad’s new neighborhood reveals its sinister underbelly.

While Cat Ninja investigates, Marcie and Leon meet local skateboarders, Master Hamster struggles to preserve his criminal-mastermind dignity, and robot dog Adonis tries to prove that he can be a hero instead of a walking catastrophe. The team’s summer becomes a series of battles involving a fish-flakes factory, secret headquarters, superpowered animals, identity questions, toilets, missiles, robots, and one wildly misguided scheme involving Mount Rushmore.

Great for reluctant readers and fans of cat humor and superhero antics (ages 9-11), Welcome to the ’Burbs is a funny superhero graphic novel for young readers, pet lovers, and kids navigating change.
