What if the new kid on the football field wasn’t from your town… or even your world?

When Sublimious Z. Hormats—“Clancy”—arrives at Callister Cascades High, he looks like just another lanky teenager trying to fit in. But behind his odd way of speaking and uncanny athletic ability is a secret mission: learn everything he can about American life… starting with football.

As Clancy navigates practices, classrooms, and small-town expectations, he begins to form real friendships—and real attachments. But the more he blends in, the harder it becomes to stay hidden. Because Clancy isn’t just playing a game. He’s gathering knowledge that could determine the future of his people.

And if anyone discovers the truth, everything could unravel.

Set against the backdrop of Friday night lights and tight-knit community life, I Came to Play Your Game is a story about belonging, friendship, and seeing the world through fresh eyes—with a science fiction twist that keeps you guessing.

If you enjoy character-driven stories with humor, heart, and a touch of the unexpected, this is a journey worth taking.
