The furniture, jewelry, recreational objects, ceramics, fabric arts, and other designs that emerged from the mid-1950s to the mid-1970s California would come to identify its outdoorsy, eccentric, sometimes entirely funky persona. Suzanne Baizerman is Curator of Crafts and Decorative Arts at the Oakland Museum of California. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Toni Greenbaum is an art historian specializing in jewelry and metalwork. She has written extensively on the subject for numerous publications, including ARTnews , Studies in the Decorative Arts , Wallpaper* , and Metalsmith . She curated and wrote the jew
