From the back cover: Welcome to Ca d'Zan. Exotic Ca d'Zan emerges along the sparkling Gulf waters of Sarasota Bay, Florida. Remarkable in its architecture and resplendent in its biscuit stucco facade and roof of multi-hued, Spanish tiles, the palazzo evokes the richness and glory of Venice, Italy. This was the winter home of one of the foremost figures in the American entertainment industry, the legendary Circus King, John Ringling and his wife, Mable Burton Ringling. Since 1926, Ca d'Zan has offered guests and visitors a rare glimpse of the personalities and passions of its owners. It stands today as a luminous testament to the private lives of these remarkable people.
