ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Paperback, 1965). June 1965 - Volume two, issue twelve. 4to stapled paperback (216 x 277mm). Pp42. Colour and b/w photographs and illustrations. Some wear and a couple of small tears to covers but good-plus. Founded and originally edited by Bernard Venables, illustrated with colour photographs, mainly by Michael Prichard, and with illustrations by Venables and others, Creel was, and still is, the most highly respected angling journal. It attracted the best writers whose style and ethos are still admired today. Venables is listed on the title-page as Editor until December 1964, then from February 1965 onwards John Nixon is given as Editor and Michael Prichard as Art Editor. (Prichard was mentioned as Photographer and Art Editor from the very first issue, but did not make it to the title-page until after Venables had left). Contents of this issue include:- Creel diary; The Hampshire Avon by L.G. Gough; The importance of casting by A.V. Oglesby; Salmon and the worm by Fred Down; Blatant anonymity by Ewan Clarkson; Flatfish - the rest of the field by Professor A.F. Magri Mac Mahon; Sea column by Clive Gammon; The second coarse fish conference by Fred Buller; Pike floats by Dr. Terence Coulson; Here's what you need by John Nixon; With the specimen hunters; Two loughs of Ireland by Ken Seaman and Bill Howes; Big barn door by C.
