IMPRENSA NACIONAL. LISBOA. 1894. De 24,2x16,5 cm. com 345, [iii] págs. Encadernação da segunda metade do Século XX com lombada com nervos e cantos em pele. Exemplar preserva as capas de brochura sendo a anterior decorada com bela esquadrias com motivos florais e a posterior com vinheta de gosto antigo. Ilustrado em extratexto com reprodução do retrato do Duque de Ávila e Bolama, à memória do qual o autor dedica a obra. Impressão muito nítida sobre papel de elevada qualidade. O livro inclui um proémio que transcreve a parte do parecer de Manuel Pinheiro Chagas, elaborado para a atribuição do prémio do Concurso D. Luís I, onde o autor deste livro, que não recebeu o prémio, é comparado a Píndaro. O texto da obra é composto por 30 poemas muitos deles em louvor de personagens ilustres do período da fundação do regime liberal, como Gomes Freire de Andrade, Fernandes Tomás, Mouzinho da Silveira, D. Pedro IV, Garret, Herculano, José Estevão, Passos Manuel, Duques da Terceira, de Palmela e de Ávila. Contêm notas que enquadram as circunstâncias da produção destas composições poéticas.
