CRIT - Volume 1 is an action-packed graphic novel inspired by a Dungeons and Dragons homebrew campaign, blending the unpredictability of tabletop gaming with the high stakes of superhero vigilantism. After a mysterious accident at work, a group of ordinary friends are thrust into an extraordinary world when they suddenly gain superpowers. As they learn to control their new abilities, they must also navigate the consequences of their choices-both as heroes and as individuals.

With a mix of gripping adventure, humor, and heartfelt moments, CRIT brings a fresh twist to the superhero genre. Each issue mirrors the unpredictability of tabletop gaming, where the outcome is shaped by how the dice roll. No battle or decision is guaranteed to go smoothly, keeping readers on edge and invested in the characters' growth.

Follow the team as they unravel the mystery behind their powers, face dangerous enemies, and wrestle with whether they can truly call themselves superheroes. This graphic novel compiles the first six issues of the CRIT series, offering fans of action, adventure, and fantasy a unique and immersive experience.

After more than 20 years of creating characters, and writing stories, Christopher Michael is the creator of CRIT, and the universe they live in. When he decided to create CRIT, he used a resource that he knew well: Dungeons and Dragons. What is a cool and different way to write a story? Organically through the actions of players. But the problem was that there were no source books with material he wanted to use, so he took the rules and created his own game to master. Chris records the game sessions, and turns the story into the comic you read.
