Buzz and The Little Guy are brothers who like to go on adventures together. In this book, they travel to Alaska for a whitewater rafting adventure on the Talkeetna River. The boys have a great time in the Alaska wilderness, hiking past powerful waterfalls, seeing a lot of wildlife and rafting through Class IV rapids in a remote river canyon. The trip is fun and sometimes scary, but the boys work together to handle everything that comes their way.
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Rick Abel grew up in the Chicago suburbs, where the nearest thing to adventure was a night of camping in a backyard tent. He wanted to give his two boys the experiences he'd never had, so took them on wilderness vacations when they were kids. He kept journals to document their time together - writing nightly, by lantern light - which serve as the source for his stories. Talkeetna River Adventure is number two in the Buzz and The Little Guy adventure series, and is Rick's third children's book.
