Brookwood Cemetery & Other Dramatic Monologues & Poems marks Carlo Parcelli’s 9th collection and 4th publication with New Generation Beat Publications. The volume furthers Mr. Parcelli’s effort to write in varied voices, from the anonymous to the infamous. It carries on the deep erudition that is Parcelli’s trademark while remaining thoroughly emotive and entertaining.

Intrigued by the Welsh/English poet, David Jones, Mr. Parcelli, adopted Jones’ techniques most clearly represented in The Fatigue and The Wall. Mr. Parcelli’s examples of this loose monologue format have met with great success by bringing to the fold people who otherwise considered contemporary poetry too dull, too selfie or too obscure, not viable forms when it came to melding both erudition and entertainment.
