"Breaking Free of Diabetes" is a funny and uplifting look at our battle against diabetes and its effect on our bodies with the intent to foster irreverent courage and a mindset for lasting change.

Diabetes doesn't have to be a life sentence. We'll help you understand what your doctor won't tell you: Why are there more men and women over 50 on diabetic medicine in the Western world than in some countries? This one is partially the medical system’s fault.

Doctors trained in Western medicine prescribe meds first and lifestyle changes second. Why? Because they know most stubborn and self-entitled people don’t want to hear:

🚫 “You need to change how you eat.”
🚫 “You have to exercise more.”
🚫 “You can’t rely on meds forever.”

Plain and simple: doctors don’t believe their patients can maintain a healthy lifestyle. If they could they likely wouldn’t be in the predicaments they’re in right now. But if the doctors actually told Mr and Ms Smith, “I don’t believe there is any way that you’ll stick to this diet for a week, let alone, for a lifetime,” well, that’s a surefire way to make sure nobody books a follow-up appointment.

We, as patients, have to do more. We can do more to extend our standard of living. This lighthearted guide will show you exactly what to do to get on the road to reversing your diabetic medicine dependence.
