You are George Robert Twelves Hewes, you don't know it yet but you will be an eyewitness to some of the most important events in American history. From life as a shoemaker you will attend the strangest tea party ever, and become a revolutionary fighting the might of the British Army. The humorous cartoon-style illustrations and the narrative approach encourage readers to get emotionally involved with the characters, aiding their understanding of what life would have been like being at the Boston Tea Party. Informative captions, a complete glossary and an index make this title an ideal introduction to the conventions of non-fiction texts for young readers. This work fits into the KS2 History, an ideal text for shared and guided reading fo KS2 pupils within the framework of the National Literacy Strategy. It helps achieve the goals of the Scottish Standard Curriculum 5-14.
