"Our Authorized Bible Vindicated" is a foundational work of scholarship that examines the history and integrity of the King James Version of the Bible. Written by Dr. Benjamin G. Wilkinson, this treatise offers a rigorous defense of the "Authorized Version," tracing its textual lineage through the ages. The book delves into the transmission of sacred texts, comparing the manuscripts underlying the King James translation with those used in more modern revisions. Wilkinson argues for the superiority of the Textus Receptus, providing a detailed historical narrative that spans from the early church to the 19th-century revision committees.

Through a meticulous analysis of ecclesiastical history and biblical linguistics, the author explores the theological and cultural impact of translation choices. This work is essential reading for those interested in bibliology, church history, and the persistent debate surrounding biblical versions. It stands as a significant contribution to Christian apologetics, championing the preservation of the biblical text and the legacy of the Reformation. Readers will find a comprehensive overview of the scholarly arguments that have shaped the study of biblical transmission and a profound appreciation for the literary and spiritual heritage of the 1611 Bible.
