Ashlyn and her Bodyguard 1: The Giant Adventure Ashlyn Ryden is just like any normal teenager. Just trying to survive high school and her bully - Susan. But mystery surrounds Ashlyn's early life - and the fate of her mother, Leah Ryden, whom Ashlyn hasn't seen since her fifth birthday. Some say Dr Ryden was a mad scientist, but to Ashlyn, she was a loving mother. Ashlyn's life is turned upside down one day when Susan's bullying becomes extreme. Ashlyn is kidnapped - or is it rescued? - by Carl, a literal giant, who can grow as tall as 100 feet tall and can shrink down to human size. Sort of. Ashlyn learns that Carl was created by her mother to be her personal bodyguard. As Carl keeps her safe in a house in the woods, what will Ashlyn learn about him? And can she trust him? Ashlyn also begins to wonder what other secrets her mother has left for her. How did Dr Ryden create Carl? And what happened to her 11 years ago?
