Destined to forever change the way we look at fats in our diet, The Aphrodite Diet, by an internationally acclaimed expert in nutrition, debunks the theory that all fats are bad for us, proving that eating a balanced diet of the right fats is the key to good health, longevity and weight loss. The Aphrodite Diet is inspired by the food eaten in Mediterranean countries which is naturally more healthy. There are two families of fatty acids, Omega 3 and Omega 6, and obtaining the ideal balance between these two is the key to good health. The diet we eat in the UK is far too rich in Omega 6 (eg. corn and sunflower oil, margarines and most packaged snacks and convenience foods) and too low in good Omega 3 (eg. fish, walnuts, flaxseeds, green leafy vegetables and canola oil). By changing the balance of these two fats in the diet, and introducing more vegetables and fruit instead of cereals and other starchy foods, The Aphrodite Diet decreases your vulnerability to heart disease, cancer, obesity, diseases, allergies, diabetes and depression. Unlike other nutritional plans it's not only easy-to-follow but also delicious and includes simple yet tasty recipes and a comprehensive 3 Week Menu to help you get started.
