Dr. Shakunthala Sridhara is a former ICAR emeritus scientist from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. She has published more than 100 research articles and reviews, and has authored a dozen books on rodents, vertebrate pest management, insects and women in agriculture. She has been a frequent sessional chair in international conferences on animal behavior and rodent pests. She is also a former member on the International Council of Ethologists.
Dr. Akshay K. Chakravarthy is a former Head and principal scientist of Division of Entomology and Nematology at Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore, India. He is an author of many books and over 320 scientific papers and 60 chapters in entomology and natural history. His interest includes insects, birds, bats, rodents and mammals. He has nearly four decades worth of experience in teaching, research and extension.
Dr. Geetha Bali is a scientist, academician and an institution builder. She served as the Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura and as a Chairperson in Board of Governors, NIT, Bhopal. She is a recipient of Sir Asutosh Mookerjee Fellowship and is currently engaged with research at Cell Space Research Foundation, Bangalore. She is currently a member of the institute body of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India. She was elected as the 99th President of the Indian Science congress Association and has to her credit a number of awards and recognitions at the national and international levels.
Dr. Rallapalli Ramamurthi did his post-graduation in zoology from Sri Venkateswara University , Tirupati and joined the faculty of the Department of Zoology in 1958 in the same university. He pursued his post-doctoral research work in Oregon in USA. He carried out further research and teaching in Bonn, Tubingen, Karlsruhe Nijmegen, Malta, Jackson, Memphis, Urbana, Los Angeles, Washington, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Columbia, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Quebec city , and Tokyo covering a spread of collaborative research in as variegated fields as chemical regulatory mechanisms in endocrinology, ecoscience and environmental toxicology, the collagens, bioenergy systems, diabetic and hypertensive nephropathy.
