This is the story of a post "Curtis Report" Children's Home. Alan Hamblin and his older sister Margaret had lived apart for four years from 1942 at the Princess Alice Orphanage Birmingham an institution run by the National Children's Home and Orphanage now called "Action for Children". In October 1945 Margaret moved south to the Children's Home in Alverstoke Hampshire for health reasons. In February 1946 Alan was to join her in the same house. The pages of this book speak of their time together at Alverstoke. The book also contains the names of the 1,366 Sisters who looked after the children from 1875-1985. This is the sequel to "If Only These Walls Could Speak".
