Londoner Jennifer Bell worked as a children’s bookseller at a world-famous bookshop before becoming an author. Her debut novel, The Uncommoners: The Crooked Sixpence, was an international bestseller. She is also the author of Agents of the Wild, an adventure series for younger readers, and Wonderscape, which was selected as a Waterstones Children's Book of the Month and is inspired by some of her favourite heroes from history and her love of gaming. Alice Lickens is an illustrator, author and designer based in London. Winner of the prestigious Sendak Fellowship for illustration, Alice is also a designer at London's House of Illustration. She has worked as Quentin Blake's designer and her picture books include Can You Dance to the Boogaloo? and How To Be A Cowboy, as well as the Explorer activity books series with the National Trust. For Walker Books she has co-written and illustrated the Agents of the Wild series with Jennifer Bell.
