Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: A graduate in Italian and History of Art at the University of Leeds, Phil lived in Italy for five years and, having an Italian wife, has spent approximately five weeks each year in Italy since returning to live in England. Over the years, he has: worked at the University of Florence teaching translation skills, dictation and the seventeenth century English novel; taught English as a Foreign Language; qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked as a tax specialist; taught English and Media Studies for seventeen years in the English state school system; been a local councillor and parliamentary election agent. Since 2014, he has been primarily an author and translator.
