Melissa Detwiler, a tennis prodigy in South Carolina at the age of 7, lived and trained at Nick Bollettieri’s tennis academy before playing the satellite circuit at age 17. She went on to play tennis for Clemson University and Boston University and is now a highly-skilled instructor teaching kids of all ages in Los Angeles. Melissa says, “Sports taught me priceless lessons about fair play, handling disappointment, good sportsmanship, and creating a healthy lifestyle. I was inspired to create Henry to help communicate with kids in a positive, encouraging way that makes learning really fun.” Melissa lives in LA with her many “fluffy” dogs and along with writing and teaching tennis, she manufactures and sells her patented round towel/blanket bags at ThePakaRoo.com.
