Ahmed G. Radwan (SMIEEE, Fellow-AAS) is the Vice-President for Research, Nile University, Egypt. He is the Founder and general co-Chair of NILES International Conference https://www.nilesconf.org/ , and also the Founder of the Undergraduate Research Forum (UGRF) at Nile University https://ugrf.nu.edu.eg/ . He has a total number of indexed publications of 450, 9600 citations and h-index: 51 according to Scopus. He is Co-inventor of 6 US patents, author/co-author of 10 international books as well as 26 book chapters in the highly ranked publishers. Prof. Radwan is leading the fractional-order and chaotic circuits tracks worldwide. He is an associate editor in 4 prestigious Scopus-indexed journals. Some of his prestigious Awards: The State Encouragement Award, The State Excellence Award, Abdul Hameed Shoman Award, Scopus Award in Engineering and Technology, Prof. Tarek Khalil Award for Distinguished Leadership from Nile university and many more. He managed funded projects with budgets over 1M$ and supervised more than 40 (Master's & Ph.Ds). He received many research grants as Principal Investigator (PI), CO-PI, and Consultant from different national/international organizations. He was Invited to be Lead/Guest Editors in Journal of Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, and Journal of Mathematical Problems in Engineering, and Complexity. He organized many special sessions and participated as Technical Program Committee (TPC) in various international conferences. He was selected as a member of the first scientific council of Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences (EYAS) as well as in the first scientific council of the Egyptian Center for the Advancement of Science, Technology, and Innovation (ECASTI) to empower and encourage Egyptian young scientists in science and technology and build knowledge-based societies.
Salwa K. Abd-El-Hafiz received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1986 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, USA, in 1990 and 1994, respectively. Since 1994, she has been working as a Faculty Member in the Engineering Mathematics and Physics Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, and has been promoted to a Full Professor in the same department in 2004. She was the Director of the Technical Center for Career Development, Cairo University, Egypt, from August 2014 to July 2016. She served as Chair of the Engineering Mathematics and Physics Department from August 2016 to July 2017. From August 2017 to October 2020, she served as the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. Prof. Abd-El-Hafiz co-authored two books, contributed different chapters to four books and published more than 110 refereed papers. Her research interests include information security, chaos theory, number theory, computational intelligence, software engineering, and numerical analysis. She is a recipient of the 2001 Egyptian State Encouragement Prize in Engineering Sciences, recipient of the 2012 National Publications Excellence Award from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, recipient of the 2014 African Union Kwame Nkrumah Regional Scientific Award for Women in basic science, technology and innovation, recipient of several international publications’ awards from Cairo University, and an IEEE Senior Member.
Islam Tharwat Abdel Halim received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees and his Ph.D. degree in computer and systems engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. His Ph.D. thesis was granted the best thesis award. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Technology and Computer Science, Nile University (NU), Giza, Egypt. He has authored many research articles in various refereed conferences and journals, including IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, Computer Networks (Elsevier), and Wireless Networks (Springer). His current research interests include IoT, Fog/Edge computing, mobile and wireless networks, with emphasis on security and performance evaluation in vehicular communication, and 5G networks. He is a senior member of the IEEE and is currently appointed as IEEE Computer Society Coordinator for Region 8 (Europe, Africa, and the Middle East) as well as the chair of the awareness and customer advocacy committee in the Distinguished Visitor Program (DVP). Also, he is the founder and currently recorded as the chair of the IEEE Egypt Section Consultants Network and the vice-chair of ACM Cairo Chapter Besides, he has over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology and digital transformation. He is a member of the Digital Transformation Committee at Nile University and participated in the development of the digital transformation training plan for the Egyptian government. He has also participated in numerous national projects in the Ministry of Finance, the Tax and Customs authorities, and the government certificate authority. Furthermore, he has obtained several accredited certifications from major global IT companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, and IBM. He contributed to the establishment and organization of several local and international conferences in the field of computer engineering and sciences, serving as a session chair, invited speaker, program committee member, and editor for various international conferences and journals. In addition, he is a member of several specialized technical committees, including the IEEE computer Society special technical community on Blockchain.
Yuhong Liu , Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Santa Clara University. Her research interests include responsible AI, trustworthy computing and cyber security of emerging applications, such as online social media, Internet-of-things and Blockchain. She has published over 100 papers on prestigious journals and peer reviewed conferences. She is currently serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions of Service Computing, Multimedia Tools and Applications, APSIPA Transactions on Signal and Information Processing, and a Youth EBM Editor of the Blockchain: Research and Applications Journal. She serves as an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor (2022-2024) and APSIPA Distinguished Lecturer (2021-2022). She is the recipient of the 2023 Rising Star Service Award, IEEE CS Technical & Conference Activities Board, and the 2019 Researcher of the Year Award at School of Engineering, Santa Clara University.
Meikang Qiu received the BE and ME degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and received Ph.D. degree of Computer Science from University of Texas at Dallas in 2007. Dr. Qiu comes to us with a background in Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Cloud Computing. Gaining expert-level knowledge of theory and practice in many fields of Cyber Security, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, he had produced many novel results, which have been published in 500+ peer-reviewed journal/conference papers, 20+ books, and 3 patents. He is the winner of 10+ Best Paper Awards in recent years on IEEE/ACM international journals and conferences and is or was the associate editor of more than 10 international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Computers and IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing. He is the Chair of IEEE Smart Computing Technical Committee. His paper on cloud systems has won IEEE Systems Journal 2018 Best Paper Award. He has received 2018 Middle Career Researcher Award from TCSC of IEEE Computer Society. His research has been funded by NSF, Air Force, Navy, and many companies. He is the General Chair/Program Chair of a dozen of IEEE/ACM international conferences, such as IEEE TrustCom, IEEE BigDataSecurity, IEEE CSCloud, and IEEE HPCC. He has won Navy Summer Faculty Award in 2012 and Air Force Summer Faculty Award in 2009.
