Swati Sharma is an accomplished academician, researcher, and innovator, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, within the Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Science & Technology. She has a strong academic foundation, having completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry (Honors) in 2012 and M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry in 2014, both from the University of Delhi, India. Dr. Sharma went on to earn her Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry with a specialization in Polymer Chemistry from the Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, India, in 2019.

A notable achievement in her career, Dr. Sharma qualified the CSIR/UGC NET exam with an All-India Rank (AIR) of 14 and excelled in the GATE examination in Chemistry. Following her Ph.D., she undertook a prestigious two-year postdoctoral research position at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), further advancing her expertise in the field.

Dr. Sharma’s research interests primarily focus on polymer synthesis, polymer composites, hydrogel nanocomposite, and the diverse applications of polymers in various fields. She has contributed significantly to her field, publishing 37 research papers, all indexed in Scopus and SCI, in reputable international journals and national conferences. Additionally, she holds 25 copyrights, underscoring her innovative contributions to polymer chemistry.

As a dedicated researcher and academician, Dr. Sharma actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for several national and international journals and conferences. She is also the coordinator of the Research and Development (R&D) Cell and serves as the IEEE Student Branch Counsellor at the institute level, fostering innovation and research collaboration among students and faculty.

Manisha S. Bhende is an esteemed innovator, researcher, and academician, currently serving as the Professor and Director In charge at Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Science and Technology. She has a robust academic background, having completed her bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Amravati, India, and her Master's (M.E.) in 2007 and Ph.D. in 2017, both in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune.

Dr. Bhende’s research interests are diverse and include cutting-edge fields such as the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless networks, network security, cloud computing, data science, machine learning, and data analytics. Her academic contributions are remarkable, with over 78 research papers and book chapters published in prestigious international and national conferences and journals. Her innovative work has also earned her four patents and 30 copyrights.

An accomplished author and editor, Dr. Bhende has authored and edited four books published by prominent publishers, including Taylor and Francis (CRC Press), Scrivener Wiley, and IGI Global. As an expert in her fields, she regularly delivers talks on various topics such as wireless communication, wireless sensor networks, cyber security, embedded systems, IoT, data science, real-time operating systems, intellectual property rights (IPR), and innovation.

Suvarna Patil is an accomplished innovator, researcher, and academician with a distinguished career in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. She currently serves as the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management, and Research, Akurdi, Pune. Dr. Patil completed her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, specializing in Resource Allocation and Machine-to-Machine Communication in IoT Networks, from Vishwakarma University, Pune.

She holds a Master’s degree (M.E.) in Computer Engineering, awarded in 2015 from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Pune University, completed in 2000. Dr. Patil is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the Computer Society of India (CSI).

Verma is an accomplished metallurgical engineer with over 12 years of experience in project management, product lifecycle management, new product development, and process design within the medical device and materials science sectors. He currently serves as a System Engineer - Materials at Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre, Pune, where he leads initiatives in biocompatibility risk assessments, materials compliance, and design reliability.

His research journey spans over 7 years, particularly in the field of urban ore recycling from e-waste, red mud, fly ash, fluorescent lamps, and rare-earth magnets. His doctoral and master's work at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, where he was a gold medalist, focused on hydrometallurgical recovery processes and eco-friendly materials engineering solutions.

He has held academic roles at prestigious institutes such as NIT Warangal and Lovely Professional University, where he taught core subjects including Hydrometallurgy, Non-ferrous Extraction, and Materials Characterization. His industrial impact includes the development of innovative X-ray tube components, reverse engineering methodologies, and reliability engineering for global healthcare platforms at GE Healthcare and Philips.
