A political analysis of local and regional government in Britain, a key theme of the London Board A Level Government and Politics syllabus. It is suitable for both linear and modular courses, and includes sample questions, skills advice, group and individual activities, and coverage of devolution.
[series review]
Each of these short booklets deals with a particular element of the prescribed A level syllabus, offering plain and easily digested summaries in note form, together with hints about revision, examinations (including mark schemes and examiners' reports) and practice questions. Liberal use of bullet points, italicised summaries and highlighted key quotations should render the booklets popular with candidates... The format is neatly packaged, with economical use of figures and a few cartoons.
