APRIL
Frankenstina III

From The Next Name in Horror, Literary Titan Award–winning author Jerrimiah Stonecastle unleashes the third installment in his terrifying Frankenstina saga: APRIL.

Once, April Giddens was the beautiful girl next door. Loyal, compassionate, and unafraid, she was the only friend of Gaberdeen Hallstrom — the outcast child whose towering frame and misshapen face made her the target of every cruel playground taunt. April protected Gaberdeen all through childhood. But now the tables have turned.

Injected with the same twisted serum that turned Gaberdeen into a monstrous weapon, April has become something even more dangerous. She is faster, stronger, and just as unkillable. Bullets tear through her body only to seal shut. Cuts vanish in seconds. What remains is a woman who once believed in saving people, now struggling with the intoxicating thrill of killing those who prey on the weak.

When April and Gaberdeen descend on a biker gang intent on rape, the road runs red with violence. But their vigilante justice draws the attention of more powerful enemies. The U.S. military wants them captured alive. A ruthless new scientist, Dr. Erik Von Shultz, intends to mass-produce Frankenstinas for the battlefield. And a captured doctor — the very woman who first created the serum — is being drugged and tortured for the secrets locked inside her mind.

Only Gaberdeen can hear her desperate telepathic cries: Kill me, before they make me tell them everything.

As bodies pile up and survivors whisper about “monsters” walking the night, Detective Lena Marquez is assigned to hunt the pair. She remembers them as they were — children, classmates, friends — but now must decide whether to bring them in, protect them, or stand aside as they tear down the system that made them what they are.

From desolate highways to fortified military bunkers, APRIL drives at breakneck speed through carnage, loyalty, and revenge. With each battle, April and Gaberdeen draw closer to their true goal: the destruction of the underground facility that birthed them. But in the shadows, The General and Dr. Von Shultz have already begun to perfect the next generation of soldiers.

Because the question is no longer whether monsters can be made.
It is how many.

Dark, unflinching, and ferociously paced, this third volume cements Frankenstina as one of the most brutal, unforgettable horror sagas in modern fiction.

Fans of Richard Laymon, Clive Barker, or John Carpenter’s Halloween will find themselves unable to look away from the relentless force that is April Giddens.
