There are times in everyone’s life when nothing, it seems, can go right. Equally so, times when everything is right with God. When peace reigns supreme. There are times, really hard times, when any answer that comes, brings with it life changing pain. Times when no reasonable answer exists. Where life and death are in the hands of fate, or so it seems.

This is the story of one family, one faith, one direction, that found a whole new direction to follow. From New York to North Idaho. Where pain, now peace. Where loss, life. As with this family, change had to come intentionally. It came through a chance encounter in Israel and at Whitworth University that became pivotal life-moving events. They made the decision, and when they did, life became revolutionary.

Our story is a not so simple example of strong-willed people, family legacy, and loss. Yet, in that very same family came peace and joy and a life of love. Not without struggle, loss, and pain. However, it was through the struggle, the pain, the loss that they found the love and stability they so desperately sought. The direction they needed and the life they didn’t look for but found anyway.
