Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Sandra Bodley Sims, is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduate of Trinity University, Texas. She uses her father's name as her middle name because there are a million Sandra Sims and she gets their bills.Having few books as a young child, Sims fell in love with children's books reading to her children. Not only were they learning how to read in a fun way, they were also learning lessons about life.After seeing a child kick a dog she wanted to write something to help children understand that dogs have feelings, physical and mental. The inspiration for "I am a Hero" came to Sims when the family dog begged to go outside with the children to patrol the yard.
