Carol Thompson for Reader's Favorite Boy Abandoned is raw fact plus disturbing fiction to keep it interesting, covering 1892 to 1910. The subject is my father (Walter) who was discarded by his alcoholic father (Charles) in 1901. I wrote this novel, warts and all, so my daughter, Debi, and anyone else interested in their ancestors can immerse themselves in a time when death claimed many and injustice was common. For those who choose to read my father's story, I offer you this.have courage to investigate your own ancestor's history. It will help you find a deeper meaning in your own life. The theme of Boy Abandoned is singular, for the first 18 years of his life, my father survived adversity, displayed courage, showed kindness, and achieved greatness. Since history fades with time, I trust that interested researchers and historians will find this novel has been presented with respect for the major events of 1892 to 1910. Artikel-Nr. 9798992720532
