Husi Cazares grew up in Arizona in small villages on the Tohono O'odham Reservation. He holds a M.A. in Native American Studies from the University of Arizona. He has taught his tribes culture, language and History. Husi received his second M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and currently he works as a tri-lingual speech language pathologist in southern Arizona. He remains active in language preservation within his tribe.
Kerrie Ann Cazares grew up in Orland Park, Illinois before moving to Arizona to attend the University of Arizona. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. She spends her time writing new books with her husband and working for a non-profit in Green Valley, Arizona.
