Southern Back Roads - Softcover

"Eighteen-year-old Jack has never known a world without the ubiquitous Eyebits—devices worn over the eyes that allow one to be constantly connected to media and anyone else wearing the device. No one is ever without their Eyebit for long, and communicating face-to-face and engaging with the world unconnected are virtually unknown. When Jack's father becomes concerned that Jack is failing to grow up, he introduces Jack to his own father, Pops, who refuses to wear an Eyebit—ever. The ensuing relationship between grandfather and grandson revolves around the restoration of an antique Ford Mustang—and it will change Jack's view of the world forever. This sci-fi tale of family dynamics should enthrall anyone who finds it hard to put down their smartphone." Laura K., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing
