Inhaltsangabe

No gun. No police or military experience. Just an unwavering sense of integrity—and the courage to act on it.

Parker Hanson isn’t your typical detective.

He doesn’t own a firearm. He’s a former journalist, not an ex-cop. And he recently had triple bypass surgery.

So why is this small-time PI taking on New Hampshire’s most powerful political figure in a fight he’s not likely to win? Because that’s how he’s wired.

When Parker suspects the death of his client’s husband is linked to a state government conspiracy, it’s not in his nature to walk away.

And when his intuition points directly to the governor himself, Parker—whose biggest cases to date have involved finding lost relatives or proving infidelity—suddenly finds himself in the big leagues.

Aided by his ex-Army Ranger neighbor, Amalia Velasquez, Parker sets out to prove his suspicions.

The danger is huge. And the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Because when you’re swinging for the governor, you’d better not miss.

If you love clever, relatable detectives who refuse to back down—think Robert B. Parker's Spenser—this is your next read.

“Parker is an engaging character, one to root for.”Kirkus Reviews
